The Bose music-to-go package features a Gloss Black SoundDock Portable digital music system, a custom travel bag and spare battery in one economical bundle. It provides Bose quality sound for your compatible iPod wherever you like, plus system protection during travel and more hours of playing time when you arrive.
The SoundDock Portable system was engineered so your iPod can be enjoyed in more locations without compromising sound quality. Bose proprietary waveguide speaker technology and powerful neodymium speakers provide efficient, high quality audio from a slim profile.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery and the included spare together provide more than six hours of playing time—more than conventional rechargeable batteries can deliver. The battery detaches and attaches easily for quick changeover. Or, just plug in the power cord wherever an outlet is available. You can also hear audio from a portable DVD player or other sources with the system's auxiliary input.
The system's rotating iPod dock disappears for protection during transit, and the built-in handle makes the system easy to carry from room to room. For longer trips, the custom travel bag offers system protection and extra room for your iPod, remote control and other accessories.

Can I play music from a digital music player other than an iPodi/Phone?
Yes. Although designed for use with an iPod/iPhone, the SoundDock Portable system also has an auxiliary input for connecting other audio devices. You can enjoy the same audio performance from another MP3 player, a portable CD player or music phone.

Does the SoundDock Portable system run only on battery power?
No. The SoundDock Portable system includes a power cord for plugging into an AC wall outlet in addition to the rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Yes. The SoundDock Portable digital music system offers the same level of audio quality whether plugged in or running on battery power.

In addition to controlling the SoundDock system, does the remote also control the iPod?
The custom remote controls the SoundDock Portable system plus basic iPod functions: on/off, pause, volume, track seek/scan and playlist navigation. The SoundDock system's volume also can be controlled by buttons located on the dock on the side of the system.

Does the SoundDock Portable system charge my iPod/iPhone?
Yes. Whether operating on battery power or plugged into a wall outlet, the SoundDock Portable digital music system will charge any compatible iPod/iPhone docked to the system.

How long is the battery life?
Battery life is dependent on many factors such as volume level and audio content. At maximum volume, the SoundDock Portable system battery will last approximately three hours. At lower volume levels, the battery will last considerably longer. Recharge the battery or use optional spare battery for additional playing time.
