Remote troubleshooting

My remote is not working.

Be sure the system turns on. Try turning on the system using the control panel. If the control panel does not work, see My system will not turn on

Install new batteries in the remote. Make sure the batteries, including those recently installed, match the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Do not use rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries may not charge fully after extended use and some may have a lower voltage output

Perform a control console reset.

Turn the control console off

on the control console, press and hold power for five seconds. the red led will turn off


release the power button and retest the system

Reassociate the remote with the system. The media centre and remote must match for proper operation. For information on reassociating the system and remote, see Pairing the remote control with the console

There's a "No signal" message displayed on my remote. What should I do?

If the display on the remote control shows "No Signal," try Pairing the remote control with the console and Resetting the control console to resolve this issue
