Connect the HDMI cable from the HDMI (ARC) connector on your soundbar to the HDMI eARC or HDMI (ARC) connector on your TV
Tip: If the TV does not have an HDMI connection labelled eARC or ARC, use an optical cable to connect the TV to the soundbar.
Use the AC power adapter and one of the included power cable to connect the soundbar to an AC power socket.
Tip: Do not connect the Bose Bass Module to power yet. During setup, the Bose Music app will ask if you want to add accessories (the Bose Bass Module) and prompt you to connect the Bose Bass Module to power.
Use the other AC power cable to connect the Bose Bass Module to an AC power socket.
Log in to the app using your existing Bose account credentials or follow the instructions in the app to create a Bose Music account
After adding the soundbar to your account, you will be able to associate streaming music services with the account.
In the My Bose screen, tap + to add a system to your account
Note: If you don’t see your product:
- Close the Bose Music app on any nearby devices
- Turn on Bluetooth® on the device running the app
- Bring the device running the app close to your product
- Unplug your product from power for 30 seconds
Follow the app instructions to connect to your network, select a product name and sharing mode, connect the Bose Bass Module, run the ADAPTiQ audio calibration and add a voice assistant
Tip: If your Bose Bass Module is not found during setup, unplug it from power for 30 seconds, then try again.
To control other devices with your remote (like a set-top box or Blu-ray player):
In the Bose Music app, tap the small soundbar icon in the lower-right corner
Note: If you have multiple Bose smart speakers, tap the headphones and speaker icon in the upper-left corner to access the My Bose screen, select your soundbar, then tap the small soundbar icon in the lower-right corner
Under UNIVERSAL REMOTE:
- Select TV and follow the app instructions to control your TV
- Select Configure and follow the app instructions to control your other devices
Note: If these options don’t appear, under UNIVERSAL REMOTE select Advanced > Pair New Remote to link your remote to the soundbar.
