Setting and playing presets

Applies to:

Presets let you quickly recall your favourite music service stations, playlists, artists or albums. Once set, you can access your music at any time, with a simple touch of a button or by using the Bose Music app. If you have multiple Bose smart products, each product can have its own unique presets.

Note: If you ask the Amazon Alexa assistant to play a music service, that service cannot be set as a preset. Instead, open the Bose Music app and add the service—if available—to your Bose Music account and then follow the steps below.

Setting presets

Using the speaker controls

Open the Bose Music app and play the content that you want to store as a preset

On the top of the speaker, touch and hold the desired preset number (1–6) until a tone is heard and the display shows that the preset is saved

Using the Bose Music app

Open the Bose Music app and play the content that you want to store as a preset

Tap the My Bose icon in the upper-left corner

Select the product on which you want to store a preset

Touch and hold the desired preset number until the preset is set

Playing presets

Once you have stored a preset, you can recall it by using either the numbers on your speaker's controls or the Bose Music app.
