Love these Bose speakers !
I have had these Bose companion 2 series III for two weeks and am very impressed with sound quality. When I play uncompressed music thru them they really sound fantastic ! True stereo sound , can hear all the instruments in complicated songs , Thank You Bose

Didn't disappoint!
I have had Bose speakers in my truck for 17 years, they still sound as good as day one, so of course I'm going to try these out. They are great. Easy enough to install, great sound, right size, seem durable enough to last for awhile, and you can't beat the price. We've gone through a lot of different speakers the sound doesn't compare. Very happy with the purchase!

Music to delight the senses and encapsulate
After several years of putting my Logitech Z-4 2.1 Speaker System through its paces I decided it was time for a change. I purchased the Logitech Z533 2.1 speaker system to replace the Z-4. The Z533 2.1 speaker system is a bass heavy system that is lack luster at best.
Enter the Bose Companion 2 Series III 2.0 Speaker system. WOW, I remember back a few years ago I had the Bose Companion Series II and remember the tight crisp sound they produced. I am thrilled to own Bose Speakers again! No comparison whatsoever. These Series III speaker absolutely rock! Well rounded full range sound that is very well balanced. No need for a sub here at all. Get all the low end needed.
Thank you Bose for such a great product!

amazing target sound, clean design
These speakers deliver perfect stereo with within the target area, and the sound doesn't travel that far. Make sure to disable the Realtek driver if your computer has it, that has worse audio jack quality than the default HD audio device. These speakers became amazing once I discovered that.

I used to have two Pioneer 12" 3-way speakers and Magnavox head hooked into my computer as general purpose use since my computer also acts as our TV for movies. I replaced those with these to cut down on space, and while these little speakers aren't going to have the same SPL or low end as large tower speakers, they put out quite a bit for their size and have a significantly better sound stage (depth, width, and height). These appear to use the very same drivers as the Bose Waveguide that I have sitting in my living room. Just make sure you use an external DSP with these, and you will be happy!

One problem that is ALMOST easy to remedy.
My wife bought these for me to use in our home office, or as she calls it, 'the lair'. The sound reproduction is very good, better than any computer speakers we have ever used. The only problem is the limited separation , since the standard code is only about six feet and by the time you drop it though one desktop cord opening and up through another you can only get them about four feet apart. The cable connections are non-standard, so it's not easy to remedy this. However, a very nice gentleman at Bose online support is shipping me an extension that will allow me to get the full eight foot separation on my work station.
A nice addition to these would be a connection for a separate woofer. I have a very good one but no connection is available.

Great Sound from Bose
I just now had this and when I am connecting to MAC the sound output is excellent. Apple music , movies are played here now and the sound output is very nice.

Good, but I cranked bass too much...
I bought them 7 years ago, and they still sound great!
I cranked the bass too much on my computer (the bass got too distorted) sound a little clipped when I crank the vol. But they still sound great!

Real good sound!
Super easy to cable up. Very good sound. Detail, depth, crispiness, nice and round. Compact size. If I wanted to change anything, I'd make the audio cable longer.

Great Product
For this price, it worth all the money. It's an easy set up. You get an excellent clarity of sound.
Of course the bass is'nt the best one.. If you want something for great price and good sound, THIS IS FOR YOU!

Impressive Desktop Speakers
I've owned my Companion 2's for over 5 years now with no loss in audio quality through extreme heavy use. Between loud games with gunshots and blasting music these speakers have held up for so long. I love them so much that I've bought them for multiple friends and family for their own computers. Can't talk highly enough about them. Good job Bose!

Beautiful sound.
Having this for about a year, I couldn't be more happy with these speakers! I have been using these with my iMac and my ATLP-60 turntable. And from pandora to vinyl, these speaker deliver! Crisp... powerful... Bose.

Wow.
