The versatile S1 Pro+ system operates in four unique modes and can be set up differently based on the application.
Elevated surface
Position the S1 Pro+ on a surface. This projects sound clearly and evenly throughout the audience and ensures that audience members enjoy the full frequency range of the system.
Tilt-back
For performances where your audience is close to you, tilt the S1 Pro+ onto its back edge. For best results, you should stand or sit to one side of the loudspeaker to avoid blocking sound from the audience.
Monitor mode
To use the S1 Pro+ as a personal floor monitor, place it on the ground horizontally, in front of and pointing toward the performer. Tilt the loudspeaker onto its side edge. Rotate the Bose logo counterclockwise to match your chosen mode.
Speaker stand
Place one or two S1 Pro+ systems on speaker stands (sold separately) for general-purpose sound reinforcement.
Auto EQ provides optimal performance by sensing the orientation of the S1 Pro+ multi-position PA system using internal sensors. Once placed into a new position, the system applies the optimal equalization curve to maximize the quality of sound.
Yes. The enhanced portability, easy setup, and professional sound quality of the S1 Pro+ system make it suitable for a variety of applications as a smaller PA system: DJs, community and athletic events, business presentations, or wherever high-performance and easy-to-use sound amplification is needed.
The S1 Pro+ features Bluetooth streaming with one-button pairing. A ¼" (6.35 mm) TRS input and a 3.5 mm input allow for connecting additional wired sources like a DJ mixer, laptop, CD, or portable audio device. When making announcements, simply plug a dynamic handheld microphone into one of the microphone/instrument channels.
Two S1 Pro+ systems are recommended for DJ applications to help reproduce stereo sound. Additionally, a single S1 Pro+ system can be conveniently used as a satellite system for larger DJ events.
Whether you’re using an acoustic guitar or a handheld dynamic microphone, ToneMatch allows you to match the sound of the source by maximizing the sonic properties through equalization.
Three. The S1 Pro+ system has two full-featured channels designed for live speech or musical performance and one channel dedicated to prerecorded material using Bluetooth streaming or a ¼" (6.35 mm) TRS and 3.5 mm source.
Yes. The S1 Pro+ multi-position PA system has an XLR-balanced line output to send the master mix out to another S1 Pro+ or to an audio console.
Yes. However, please note that the optional ToneMatch power supply is required for operation. For musical performances that require access to our most advanced tone shaping library, a full suite of studio-quality effects, dynamics processing, and expanded inputs and outputs, ToneMatch mixers are the recommended choice.
To use the T4S/T8S ToneMatch mixer with the S1 Pro+ multi-position PA system, connect a master output of the ToneMatch mixer to input 1 or 2 on the S1 Pro+ system. Adjust the master level of the ToneMatch mixer to at least 50% and adjust the S1 Pro+ input volume knob to the desired level.
A single S1 Pro+ multi-position PA system can combine the two channels and fill the venue with one speaker. For instruments or recorded material where stereo reproduction is essential, two S1 Pro+ systems can be used to deliver stereo sound.
Great care was taken in the design process to ensure that all the speakers and electronics perform as one integrated system. This allows the S1 Pro Multi-position PA System to be extremely efficient and maximize its acoustical output while maintaining its small profile.
The S1 Pro+ is not water resistant.
You can use Sub EQ with any powered subwoofer, but for optimal performance, we recommend the Bose Sub1 or Sub2 Powered Bass Modules. The S1 Pro+ includes a Sub EQ setting and is a crossover that optimizes system EQ for setup scenarios in which a powered subwoofer is connected to the system LINE OUT port. Once you enable Sub EQ, it stays enabled until you disable it, or the system powers off.

System placement requirements for the S1 Pro+ multi-position PA system are flexible. For optimal sound for both the audience and performer, position the system directly behind — or behind and slightly off to one side of — the performer.
Yes. The S1 Pro+ has a universal power supply that allows it to operate in regions ranging from 100V – 240V. The proper power cord for the specific region in which the system was purchased is included in the product carton.
When you connect a wireless transmitter to a channel that has the Insert setting set to Auto, the ¼" (6.35 mm) TRS channel input becomes a series channel insert (also known as an effects loop). You can connect effects units or pedals to the input using an insert cable, all while using your instrument or mic wirelessly.
NOTES:
- An insert cable (¼" or 6.35 mm TRS to dual ¼" or 6.35 mm TS) is required to connect an effects unit to a channel insert. You can purchase an insert cable at your local music retailer.
- Don’t connect an instrument or other audio source to the input using a standard ¼" (6.35 mm) cable when a wireless transmitter is connected to the channel. This prevents audio from playing from both the wired and wireless source.
Live Stream mode allows the system to be recognized as an audio interface when you connect it to your computer using a USB-C® cable. This lets you perform live for an online audience or record audio directly to your computer’s digital audio workstation (DAW).
When Live Stream mode is enabled, the system passes a dual mono mix of Channels 1, 2, and 3 to a connected computer. In this mode, the channel volume controls behave like faders on a mixer. Adjusting channel volume, using either the channel controls or the Bose Music app, adjusts the level of that channel within the mix being sent to your computer.
A monitor volume control also appears on Channel 3, allowing you to adjust the master volume of the system speakers without affecting the computer mix. Once you enable Live Stream mode, it stays enabled until you disable it, or the system powers off.
Yes. All systems can share the same stage. The L1 Compact and L1 Model II systems have longer line arrays than the S1 Pro+ and can project sound further with less drop-off of sound levels than the smaller array found on the S1 Pro+.
Using the app, you can control the system remotely, manage system settings, and access exclusive features like ToneMatch preset customization, channel and reverb mute, saved scenes, and Dual Wireless Streaming. If you have already created a Bose Music app account for another Bose product, see “Add the system to an existing account.”
The Dual Wireless Streaming feature in the Bose Music app lets you play Bluetooth audio from both the system and another compatible Bose system at the same time in either dual mono or stereo. You can access this option from the Settings menu.

I recently purchased the Bose S1 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker System and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The sound quality was top-notch, with rich and clear audio that filled the room. Mind Blowing Portable Speaker
This is the best Bose Portable speaker system I have bought. I mean name speaks for itself. When I saw this speaker by Bose, I said to my self, this would be perfect for the non profit organization I volunteer at.
This Bose speaker system is great on so many levels. For one, the non profit organization events I help volunteer at normally would run wires all over the ground and tape wire for the old speaker system. This was tedious on so many levels for every time an event would be held. Now this Bose portable speaker saves us from having to run all the mess of wires.
Another great benefit of this portable speaker that caught my eye was being battery powered as well. This helped eliminate the running of power wire all over the ground. With upto 11 hours of battery on a single charge is impressive I may say.
Last but not least the Bose S1 pro is elegantly designed having a clear crisp sound. The simple yet easy design has me sold and is great for anyone looking for a portable speaker for their events.

Amazing mini PA that does it all
The S1 Pro is an amazing sounding powered speaker that has a ton of volume, is very flexible, super simple to set up and start using and has been designed by someone who plays music live. I find it hard to fault this unit, first off the thing just works! 5 second set up and it sounded great. It's light but very loud if needed and still sounds great at full volume. The wireless transmitters work straight away are deliver great sound. They connect them selves when charged by the unit, the little charging/storage bays are so slick! Such a cool design as it allows you to have the speaker on it's side or tilt back or go on a stand. The controls are clear and make sense and change orientation depending on which way you stand the speaker. The Bose phone app gives you a ton more options if you need them but if you just want to turn the speaker on and start playing the present sounds are superb. You can buy two and they will work in stereo, there are a range of inputs and options and it's clear there was a lot of thought that went to what options were offered. for example, 2 different USB jacks, an instrument jack and mini phono jack and it has a balanced line out as well. The clarity of the speaker at volume is really stellar and it doesn't rattle or buzz as many similar units do. It was hard to believe it sounded that good. Truly. The instrument channel has some preset eq's for acoustic guitar or electric guitar and they they work really well. I have some small gripes, 1. the power switch is a short press button and almost everything else these days is long press to avoid accidental activation. I long held the button a number of times through habit till I remembered but really it's a minor thing. 2. The web based updater app took a couple of goes to work. That could be a browser issue so hard to be to harsh on this one. I'm using a mac computer, not sure if others saw this. Once it did connect, the issue went away and I haven't a problem since. 3. I think the little rubber covers for the empty transmitter bays will quickly be lost. A little slot or compartment for them would have been really great or maybe just a cord that connects them to the unit. Other than those points I'm over the moon about this little powerhouse. Looking forward to doing some shows with it soon and I may get a second one to have a stereo set up. The S1 Pro ticks all the boxes. Well worth exploring if you are in the market for a small PA set up

Great for Gigs, but Awesome for Outdoor Events
The Bose S1 Pro has been upstaging all of my other speakers now that I have it. This relatively small and lightweight PA/Speaker has substantial volume and full Bose signature sound which can move the air really well. I've been very impressed. The unit is highly portable, and the build quality is up to Bose standards. The digital dials are great since they can be controlled wirelessly through the app, but they're illuminated so you can physically adjust them in the dark, too. Ease of use is pretty high, although the app does fail to connect here and there like with my other Bose products. The wireless signal transmission is one of the coolest parts, in particular for musicians and people needing a Portable PA system. Being able to just plug and play the receiver into your instrument and immediately have a new channel with its own settings is absurdly easy. I could see many businesses picking one of these up to handle their PA and event needs with such little setup and low learning curve. And for those buskers and gig folks, it's a no brainer to bring this along to your acoustic and small-room sets. Overall, the sound is substantial. I would have loved a slightly more powerful subwoofer for really booming bass, but honestly that's never been Bose's signature sound, and I prefer the quality of this sound to my other speakers, including newer offerings by multi-room speaker companies.

Best quality portable speaker period!
I have had PA speakers before, but the Bose S1 Pro is one of the best sounding speakers I’ve ever listened to! The mids are crisp, the highs are not too sharp, and the bass shakes the tabletop! I also got the musical instrument transmitter which pairs seamlessly to the speakers. You just pop it into the slot on the back of the speaker and it’s paired! And while it’s in the slot, it is also charging so you never have to worry about the battery dying or signal being lost. I tested it out with my electric guitar, piano, and microphone and there is no lag in sound or static. Simply amazing! Also using the Bose Connect App adds more features such as custom EQs, Tone Match, and Reverb! I definitely did not regret getting this amazing speaker!

Bose S1 Pro+ is a very versatile speaker
I admit I have several Bluetooth speakers for music streaming, including a pair of Bose Soundlink Flex’s which provide awesome stereo on the go in a small package. I purchased the Bose S1 Pro+ with specific use in mind. I am just beginning to learn to play guitar, and I also have an older wireless PA system in need of upgrading. Therefore, I was excited to get the S1 Pro+ and see what it brought to the table for my specific needs. In the box is the S1 Pro+ which is a 14.4lb speaker. Also included is a lithium-ion battery which Bose states can run for up to 11 hours based on variables like volume etc. In addition, I got both wireless transmitters available (both work up to 30 feet), one for an instrument ( 1/4”) and one for a XLR Mic. The speaker stores both transmitters, and they charge in the speaker when it’s plugged in, which is very convenient (stated to last up to 4 hours each). I went all in, and before even playing with the speaker, I purchased the Bose S1 Pro carrying case, a mic and mic stand, and a speaker stand. No, I’m not going busking, but I just wanted a complete setup. The speaker has a carrying handle built-in for easy mobility. It can stand upright, lean backward while upright, be set sideways as a monitor, and mounted on a speaker stand. The speaker has 3 channels, technically 4 (will explain). Channels 1 & 2 are for mics and instruments. Each channel has a balanced/unbalanced 1/4”/XLR combo jack. Channel 3 is for connecting Bluetooth and has ¼” (mono) and 3.5mm (stereo) aux jacks. You can use one of the jacks and Bluetooth simultaneously. Each channel as a button/knob and OLED display (which rotates when horizontal or vertical). Channels 1 & 2 have adjustments for volume, treble, bass, and reverb. You can access ToneMatch presets. Channel 3 doesn’t have a reverb adjustment. There’s a USB port to charge your phone. There’s a XLR post-mix line-level line out. I decided to run all channels with my first test. Being able to play the guitar and use the mic while streaming music all through the speaker was great. Everything sounded very clear. I moved around the room and experienced no wireless drops. I just used the mic, and it makes for a great PA system. The Bose Music app allows for adjusting everything wirelessly. You can pair up a 2nd speaker for stereo or fuller sound if planning to use in a larger space. I love this speaker. It’s what I was looking for, and more. I highly recommend it.

The Bose S1 Pro is an exceptional piece of audio equipment that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in portable sound. This is my second Bose S1 Pro speaker. I am a singer and occasionally DJ at weddings and small events. The speaker has performed flawlessly through any event I have put it through.
Building upon the already outstanding Bose S1 Pro, this new iteration takes things to a whole new level. I have been needing to cover larger rooms and have been planning to purchase another Bose S1 Pro for some time. While I was not able to stream through both speakers via Bluetooth at the same time, I was able to stream through both by connecting them in series. This delivered an outstanding PA experience with rich, detailed sound.
What sets the Bose S1 Pro apart is its commitment to user convenience. While the wireless transmitter is optional, it is more than just an add-on. The transmitter enables you to effortlessly connect multiple units, eliminating the need for cumbersome cables and provides a hassle-free setup. It also lets you add guitars and keyboards quickly and easily. This is the timesaving feature I never knew I needed.
The sound quality delivered by the S1 Pro is exceptional. The unit boasts crystal-clear highs, well-defined mid-ranges, and punchy lows. The build quality of the Bose S1 Pro remains top-notch, combining durability and portability. It features a rugged enclosure, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. Bose always rocks!
I am new to the Bose S1 Pro Plus speaker series and I'm pleasantly surprised by its powerful sound, exceptional quality, and portability with its built-in battery. I paired the speakers with my phone for music and the performance was outstanding. I also tested its compatibility with my TV through Bluetooth, and again, the results were impressive. The speaker offers three adjustable positions: flat vertically, angled at 30 degrees (which works well on wooden or tile floors, but not as stable on carpet), and horizontal. It is suitable for various occasions such as parties, movie nights, or simply enjoying soothing music. While I haven't used the speaker with any musical instruments (as I don't own or play any), I can attest to its versatility and overall audio excellence. It's worth noting that the speaker exclusively works with the Bose Music app. Although I attempted to connect it with my Bose Flex for party mode through the Bose Connect app, it seems that this particular speaker only supports the Bose Music app. Nevertheless, the overall experience with this speaker has been fantastic. I'm genuinely grateful for the chance to enjoy such a remarkable device. Thank you.

Bose Entertaining Superstar
The Bose S1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker has impressed my family and our guests. We just finished building our 2nd home in Colorado and have an extra large covered porch, grass and fire pit area that has become our main entertaining area. In the past we have used our Bose Sound Link speaker for music but our entertaining area is much larger than before. We chose the Bose S1 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker because we didn’t want to install a permanent speaker system outside, but needed a speaker that was just as powerful. We love that multiple users can connect via bluetooth and we could rotate who was in charge of the music. In my opinion the Bose S1 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker is the same size as most in home speakers but with a convenient handle. It is not heavy and easy to move around and you don’t even need an electrical outlet because its built-in battery lasts for hours. The sound is powerful with exceptional quality. I highly recommend the speaker and we will be purchasing another Bose S1 Pro Portable Speaker for our outdoor entertaining at our main home.

Bose S1 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker System is marvelous. The sound is crystal clear and loud. The box is not large or heavy and can be carried with one hand. The range is wonderful, it can be more than 25 feet away connected via Bluetooth without losing connection. The speaker is able to connect 3 ways. 2 connections for instruments, audio cable, and Bluetooth. When connecting through Bluetooth it is very easy just turn on pairing mode and connect the device. Once the speaker is fully charged we were able to use it over a 3-day Span on and off. The Bose App allows the user to control the speaker's level of volume and adjust the bass and tremble. I am so very satisfied with my Bose speaker and will recommend it to anyone that wants to take sound to another level.

Beautiful sounds from Bose
This Bose S1 Pro Portable Bluetooth Speaker System with Additional Musical Instrument Transmitter is a masterpiece. I have high-end speakers from another company, and I would describe the quality of the sound from this speaker as realistic with good separation between instruments. This Bose handles most bass well and handles a wide range of music well. This speaker does not break up with increased volume. The Bose Portable is compact and super easy to carry with the built-in handle and the battery has a long life. The electronics on the back of the speaker are really cool-looking and user-friendly, and the digital display changes the orientation of the graphics as it adjusts vertically and horizontally. Additionally, the electronics on the back are straightforward and easy to understand. The Bose Wireless Instrument Transmitter was very easy to plug in and produced super-rich sounds even from far away. The transmitter was also easy to use with my guitar. The Bose Wireless Mic/Line Transmitter looked really cool, like no microphone I have ever seen, and it was very intuitive to use and produced clear, easy-to-understand sound. The Bose App makes it easy to control from your phone. If I had any criticism of this Bose, I would say that it did not get the deep, rich tones of Billie Eilish very well. I had to dig deep to find something that I did not like, and that is all I could come up with. I would certainly recommend this to a friend, and as a matter of fact, the two friends who have seen it already want one too. It is a huge winner in my eyes.

Amazing Size Amazing Sound
I just received my Speaker today and have been testing it out for a couple hours and I live it so far. I love the sound quality and the fact that I can do karaoke on it to entertain my family. I love the fact that I can put two mics on the speaker as well as be able to adjust the sound and the effects. I love the color and the design I just wish it came in other colors as well. Really enjoying it so far.

Great speaker, Poor delivery
I bought this speaker a few weeks ago. First off, this review appear to only offer a product review which I have no problem giving a 5 star. This speaker is awesome! It’s everything I wanted and makes gigging a breeze. Can be used as a monitor for the band or to do singles in a breeze!
The part that I would rate with a 1 star is the service/ordering process. Loooong story short, their website wouldn’t process and when it finally did, they shorted me on the order. That was another long process and several phone calls to get that corrected. I even ended up ordering one of the transmitters from another company who I wished I ordered everything. No issues with them and a speedy delivery.
Once again if you’re seeking a great product, I recommend this speaker but order through one of their distributors to save the headaches.

Sounds amazing, but..
Sound as immaculate, definitely feels a room. Bluetooth capability is amazing. I haven't had the capacity to test either a microphone or a guitar on it but I am sure they sound just as well. The only thing that I dislike is I really wish there was a remote that could turn it on and off as well as adjust volume. I'm aware, there are those capabilities through the app on your phone but I don't live with my phone attached to my hip.

Sound is something subjective, not everyone hears things the same way. But that's exactly what one of Bose's core ideology's tries to address, Bose wants to try to give everyone in the room the same audio experience, no matter where in the room they're located. I think they do an excellent job of that with this speaker.
As a Mobile DJ for over 20 years, I've had experience with multiple speaker brands and have been eyeing the S1 Pro and similar competitive speakers to make my Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour system more compact, without sacrificing sound quality. I have done exactly that with the S1 Pro+. With a sleek look, pole mount hole and surprisingly light, considering it has a powerful battery too, the S1 Pro+ is a welcome addition to my toolkit.
There are very few things bad to say about the speaker, the biggest area for improvement to me is around the bluetooth. Something just seems off with the sound over bluetooth, more digitized sounding than it should. I'm sure this may get addressed with a firmware update. Hardwired audio with battery power, and this is one handy and powerful speaker.

SOLID ENTRY FROM BOSE!
I’ve always wanted an entry level portable PA system that took a lot of the guesswork out of setting up a party or DJ session, and though not perfect, Bose comes promisingly close. BUILD: The speaker is made of durable, high quality materials and the design is thoughtful and intuitive. I am a fan of the LED lights that go up and down as you turn on the volume. Great job on the aesthetic. SOUND: In typical Bose fashion, the system sounded premium with the Shure mic I plugged in, and the mix between Bluetooth source and mic audio was convincing and cohesive. The Bose sound signature is unmistakable in this, and that’s a great thing. From live mix to Bluetooth streaming, the sound was SOLID! APP & CONNECTIVITY: This connects to the excellent and refined Bose App, and I found connection and mixing to be quite easy and intuitive through the app. My Bluetooth sources synced seamlessly and the sound was rich and full. This is a great PA system for beginners and backyard party people, and I highly recommend it!
