For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby for the power cord. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bose Soundbar 900 - The Real Deal Bought this soundbar along with the surround 700 speakers two weeks ago and it’s incredible for everything - music, gaming, and home cinema (where dialogue mode is especially useful). Incredibly clear and immersive, with very good bass response for an integrated subwoofer. That last part is important because I live in an apartment building so having a dedicated subwoofer (i.e. standalone) is a bit prohibitive. This system gets very loud, but it suits my small living room perfectly, especially by calibrating everything with the included AdaptIQ. One of the biggest reasons I got the 900 over the 600/700 is the high ratings it received for Dolby Atmos support/performance. This soundbar blows me away when using it for Dolby Atmos with supporting movies and games. 100% wood recommend and would buy again. Bose products are truly great.

The immersive audio quality it delivers creates a cinematic experience comparable to that of a movie theater or professional recording studio. To further enhance the auditory experience, I have also integrated two Bose Subwoofer 700 units and rear speakers, which connect wirelessly to produce a 7.1.2 surround sound system with Dolby Atmos technology. The Bose Music App facilitates the connection of all my Bose Smart Home Speakers in various rooms, and the user interface is intuitive and user-friendly.

It really complements the soundbar and takes the experience to the next level. Using it with Soundbar 900 and Surround Speakers and I could see the difference on the expressions of my kids while watching a dolby atmos video. The Soundbar itself is great but after the addition of the Bass Module, its just a different level. The compact size is an advantage over its rivals as well. I have always bought Bose and would highly recommended this set as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Bought this on sale for Superbowl. Price was right, $600. Sound is excellent for TV shows and movies. One thing I'm bummed about but isn't a slight for the sound bar because it's the case for all of them, my TV doesn't have ARC or eARC HDMI connections which means no Atmos until I also upgrade the TV. For future purposes I guess, but the sounds is bright and balanced and the bass is totally enough for any average house hold, with and easy upgrade to add the bass module 500/700 if cinematic rumbles are your jam.

Could not have found a better video audio system. I would highly recommend the 700 bass units the 700 rear speakers and the 900 sound bar. We are amazed at what we were missing!

I have not experienced any issues with the system yet the sound quality continues to improve with system update.

But I wasn't sure if it was "as advertised"? It took a little while to learn how to use it. Hooking it up was easy, it's just getting it to work with my smart tv was tough. (I'm over 60) so i just used the Bose app on my phone to figure it out. Holy Smokes Batman, the sound was Unbelievable 😲. The sound was better than a movie theater. Once again Bose delivered on its promise. The way this bar spread the sound all over the room was amazing. Save your Penny's and don't buy it cheap one, you'll be glad you did. I was.

I have seen reviews that say the rear surround speakers are not necessary with the ultra sound bar however after having the ultra sound bar for 2 weeks before ordering the 700 rear speakers, I will emphatically dispute that claim. The 700 rear speakers complete the package and the listener is only getting half the effect without them. They pair easily and work seamlessly with the Bose app.

They expressed that the order could not be held up and had to go out right away. That was unfortunate for me now I have to wait until their next holiday for a reduced price.
